OUR RAVING FANS
JENNY
"I don't know if I can sum up in words an experience that has changed my life in ways I never thought possible... but I'm going to try. About a year ago I went to try a new workout on the recommendation of a friend and not only found a love of fitness... but more importantly fell in love with a group of women who showed me I have a strength inside me I never knew existed. This isn't just another gym or fitness fad. This is a family. This is a tribe who will support you in every and any way you need. We'll be there to cheer your successes and to pick you up when you you stumble. The path to health is challenging but having a place where you can be vulnerable on your journey to fitness makes all the difference in the world. What I love most about Core 7 is knowing that the instructors are going to push me to do things I didn't even know I was capable of. Every class is different than the one I did before so I'm always facing a new challenge to keep my body improving and progressing towards my goals. Even something as small as using different equipment makes things I've mastered new and challenging again. The workouts are fun, challenging, and changing my body in ways I love. I can't believe that I'm actually one of those crazy people who look forward to my workouts. I'm over 90lbs down and while I'm proud and hoping to hit the big 100 and I've never felt stronger in my life... I'm the most proud of the relationships I've gained along the way. I wouldn't be who I am today without this amazing group of ladies who are supporting me, guiding me, loving me, and picking me up when I fall. I love my tribe more than words."

Seriously, check out these guns!!! This is the body Core 7 built. I've been an avid exercise-aholic for 10+ years and I've NEVER had muscle definition like this. I've done P90X and trusted Tony Horton that I'd be ripped in 90, but I wasn't. I've done Windsor Pilates and hoped that would get me the lean dancer body in 30 minutes a day, but it didn't. I've been a walker, a runner, a cardio machine-er, and lots of other workout DVDs throughout the years. They've all helped me lose weight and maintain weight but I've NEVER looked like this. And to be fair maybe I didn't push myself as hard as I should've to achieved those results with the other programs, who knows??? The point is with Core 7, you get results. However, awesome back muscles aside, Core 7 is just the BEST!!! I've made fun friends. The owners, instructors, and staff know my name AND my kids names. My kids actually ask me if they can go with me to workout because they love that place so much. It's like that other bar where everyone knows your name, only without the drinks. And, (as if that wasn't enough) they have this positive attitude that gets you thinking about things in a better way. You start to feel good about yourself AND like yourself and appreciate how great you are. They challenge you to push harder and leave your comfort zone. I spend an hour a day getting my butt kicked and I still look forward to going back the next day. Give Core 7 an hour (just 4% of you day according to Jenny) and you'll fall in love with them just like I have.

I started working out at Core 7 Fitness, 2 to 3 days a week in January after my sister Channing invited me, and I have been hooked ever since! After having my second baby in November I was ready to get back into shape and gave up trying to work out at home. Between having my son and starting the gym I lost ten pounds. From January to now I have stayed pretty close to the same weight but lost inches. Goes to show the number on the scale isn't always what matters! So happy with my results! And I love Core 7 Fitness!

When I heard that Core 7 was opening in Quarry Bend, I was excited. Super excited. During their construction, I happened to end up on a giant fitness kick, mostly based on kickboxing, personal training with a guy who trains and corners MMA fighters, and general bad-assery. By the time Core 7 opened, I had built a ton of muscle, strength, endurance, all of the things you work out hard in order to get. The night before I tried Core 7 for the first time, this is what I told my trainer: "Tomorrow I'm going to check it this Core 7 place. It'll probably feel like wuss yoga." I can admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong. This is a legit workout. It burned as much as my normal stuff but in a different way. I could feel my muscles moving in ways that my regular workouts don't make them move, and I could feel my abs, butt, and thighs working the way I feel like I want them to in order to look the way I want them to look. There's a huge balance and flexibility component to the workouts that I feel is the missing link for me, so of course I'm hooked and it will be at least a once a week thing in my world. You don't have to buy a membership! You can pay for a single class, or a pack of classes which saves you some money, and then go when you feel like it. I have multiple gym memberships (that I DO use) so for me, their system is perfect, and I think it's pretty smart for people who don't have other memberships too, because you just pay as you go. Not that a commitment here would be bad, it only took one class for me to figure out that I need Core 7 in my life, like woah. They offer several classes so there is no reason to feel like you're going to be thrown in with a bunch of long, lean ballerina types, and guys go too! Husbands are there with their wives, and some by themselves. Seriously, it's for everybody. The vibe here is great. The gals who own it are present, super friendly, adorable, and often sweaty from their own workouts. They are sisters and they've done a great job of making a place where everyone of all fitness levels can feel welcome and encouraged, and the instructors are really good about answering questions and helping with form. I also want to make sure to point out that they have a child care room. This isn't something that I need, but I know that lack of being able to tow my kid along when she was younger was a huge factor to me working out so I think it's important to note. I don't think I've ever been to another small specialized studio that offers that, and it is kind of amazing. I feel like it's another proof that the people here truly care about their clients and want to help us all get fit and have fun.

"It absolutely amazes me that I've trained for Spartans, rock climbing, ran multiple races, and have done CrossFit and none of that kicks my a** more than Barre.
To top it off, these cute little girls teach it. It kinda reminds me of a cute little unicorn with the abilities of Bruce Lee. Complete deception!
After you feel deep feelings of rage (at least that’s my coping emotions) then they cool you down with all this self love crap. “Good job.” “You pushed through it.” Complimenting all our strength and growth in class.
How did I go from feeling hate to loving you little unicorn?
All jokes aside, I love barre. It kicks my a** like CrossFit and I don’t need to worry about lifting wrong and injuring myself."
